Operational Basis
FALCONSW is a not-for-profit organisation which operates under New South Wales legislation.
The majority of the FALCONSW Executive Committee Members are elected by the FALCONSW membership. Each of the six New South Wales based funders are also entitled to have representation on the Executive Committee.

Constitution
FALCONSW operates under a Constitution approved by the NSW Office of Fair Trading. A copy of the FALCONSW Constitution is available here.

Funding
FALCONSW receives nearly all of its funding from the Commonwealth and New South Wales Governments.
Business Planning
As a condition of receiving government grants, FALCONSW is required to develop and submit a Business Plan for approval by funders. The Business Plan outlines details of projects to be funded and managed during a financial year.
Reporting
FALCONSW is required to report on its activities to an Annual General Meeting which is open to all financial Members. The FALCONSW Annual Report covers activities conducted during the previous financial year. A Financial Report is also included in the Annual Report. A copy of the Annual Report is provided to the New South Wales Office of Fair Trading after it is considered and approved at the Annual General Meeting.
